Capturing the essence of Costa Rica, this four-bedroom vacation home is very close to some amazing beaches. The home is surrounded by tropical plants and trees that attract amazing wildlife like monkeys and beautiful birds. You also have access to ideal beach locations only a short walking distance from the villa. Located in the heart of Manuel Antonio, you are also close to fine restaurants and shopping.

This large home is gated and has every modern convenience you will need during your stay. The layout and open air concept allows guests to enjoy the surrounding nature without the need for air conditioning. Each bedroom gives you great ocean views and they are all air-conditioned, along with the kitch and dining room. An extra-large pool and patio area offer the chance to relax and enjoy the magnificent views or gather together for a barbecue or evening cocktails. PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS TO “Vista Beach”

Only a short 5-minute hike away (average level of physical fitness required) to Vista Beach; a secluded, semi-private beach that is fantastic for swimming.

Enjoy a beautiful jungle hike to either Biesanz Beach (great for snorkeling and swimming) or Tulemar Beach. Take a short 15-minute walk to Playita Beach which is part of famous Playa Espadilla. The villa has access to 5km of jungle trails, so make sure to ask your concierge for details and to conduct these hikes during low tide.

DINING OPTIONS

Dine or have a drink at the Hotel Makanda (50mts away) or Hotel La Mansion (100mts). A little further toward the main road through town, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner at Emilio’s Cafe and take in a magnificent view of the Pacific. There are over 25 restaurants offering various types of cuisine within a 5 minute drive, most with ocean views and some with nightly entertainment.

SHOPPING

The short walk to the main area of town will also bring you to a bank with an ATM, a small grocery store, a pharmacy, and various souvenir shops.

Our family of 8 from South Carolina had an amazing time last week thanks to Gary and David! Our group consisted of two grand parents (early 70’s), two couples in their 30’s-40’s, and two grandchildren ages 10 and 13. This house was perfect for everyone! Everyone had their own room on own floor, huge bathrooms, closet space, and outdoor sitting areas with views. The stairs weren’t a problem for anyone, and I’d be comfortable bringing kids of all ages here. The pool, outdoor set up and open air kitchen made relaxing outside comfortably as a group a literal breeze. We communicated in a group chat with David via WhatsApp for recommendations on restaurants, and every where was delicious. Our favorites had to be Ronny’s Place and Emilio’s Cafe, both of which David was able to make us same day reservations. David’s response time was almost instantaneous! He arranged drivers to pick us up from the house and upon a 10-15 minute heads up, had drivers lined up to bring us back home. He was also available to arrange grocery delivery several times for only a $5 fee. We cooked breakfast most mornings at the house. It was stocked very well with supplies. We enjoyed all of the excursions booked through Gary- a waterfall tour and authentic local lunch (hike back was challenging and drive was a bit far out), zip line, massages at the house, a sunset catamaran trip and beach days. On our last day, some of us walked from the house down to Biesanz Beach. There are a few really pretty spots to stop for a drink or bite to eat with incredible views off the beaten path and more secluded than the public beach. It’s not a bad walk from the house, but a steep walk down to the beach and the walk home is all up hill so I’d suggest to arrange pick up via David. Overall, our family of all ages really enjoyed this house, the evening entertainment of the monkeys, working with David, and of course our sweet house keeper, Kimberly! Thanks, Gary and team for a wonderful spring break for the whole family. Pura Vida!
