Travelers who land in San Jose have several enticing options when it comes to beachfront activities and accommodations. The party town of Jaco is less than an hour’s drive from the airport and features great surf, myriad adventure tours and pulsating nightlife that will appeal to both the young and young-at-heart. For a slightly more tranquil scene and family-friendly atmosphere, look no further than Manuel Antonio, home to an award-winning national park, breathtaking beaches, incredible wildlife and an extensive selection of ocean view vacation rentals and beachfront villas.
Activities and eco tours for all budgets and tastes
One of the best parts about vacationing in Costa Rica is the sheer diversity of things to do! Adventure tours run the gamut from the tame to the spine-tingling. Parasailing, waterfall rappelling, ATV tours, whitewater rafting and bungee jumping are all on offer. And if adrenaline isn’t your cup of tea, take a guided nature tour where you’re likely to observe inquisitive white-faced monkeys, colorful toucans, and sloths napping in trees. Wherever your interests lie, Costa Rica is bound to surprise and amaze you at every turn.
