Escape Villas Announces Their Social Media Based Photography Contest!

Greetings, everyone!

We at Escape Villas are excited to announce that we will be holding a photography contest during the month of July!

We are looking for great photos of Costa Rica! Amateur photographers and professional photographers are welcome to enter.  This is a great opportunity to get your work out into the public eye, and a chance to win a CASH PRIZE for your photography!

You are going to love staying at one of our beautiful vacation villas!

Contest Rules:
– Photos must have been taken in Costa Rica from the time cameras were invented through the present.

– 1 entry per person

– All photo submissions must be in JPEG format (no exceptions) and no bigger than 3 Mb.

– Photo must be YOUR ORIGINAL WORK. All entries found to be of fraudulent nature will be disqualified.

– All photo submissions will become property of Escape Villas and can be used on the Escape Villas web pages and social media profiles. Photographers will retain copyright to their photos.

– By submitting your photo to this contest, you are giving Escape Villas explicit permission to use your photos on their website, blog, social media, and other advertising outlets.

– Submissions accepted beginning 12:00am July 1, 2011 through 11:59pm July 22, 2011 (Costa Rican Time Zone).

– Voting will take place from 12:00am July 23, 2011 through 11:59pm July 31, 2011 (Costa Rican Time Zone).

– This contest is in no way sponsored by or affiliated with Facebook.com

– You must be 18 or older to enter

– Have fun and be creative!

**Any submissions containing nudity, violence, or otherwise offensive content will be automatically disqualified.

How to enter:

1. LIKE our Facebook page (Experience Costa Rica) or http://www.facebook.com/experiencecostarica
2. Send 1 photo as an email attachment to social.media@escapevillas.com with “Escape Villas Photo Contest” in the subject line.

 

Please include:

• Your full name (required)
• Email address (required)
• When and where in Costa Rica the photo was taken (required)
• A phrase of up to 100 characters describing your photo (optional)
• Twitter user name (optional, we will follow you and @ you when we tweet your photo)

3.  Tell your friends to vote!

How to vote:

• LIKE our Facebook page (your vote will be considered void if you do not)
• Look through our contest album and comment on your favorite photo. Please write “Pura Vida” in the comment section to vote for a photo!

Prize:

The photo with the most “Pura Vida” comments will receive cash prizes:

• 1^st place: $300
• 2^nd place: $150
• 3^rd place: $50

We will use the first place photo as our Facebook Profile picture for 1 month
All winning photos will be featured on our blog and our websites.
The winners will be notified via email.
In the event of a tie, there will be another round of voting featuring the photos that receive the same number of votes.
