You will be picked up at your villa and driven to the town of Villa Nueva. At the stables, your guide will choose the best horse for you based on your experience and comfort level.  Then begin your discovery of the richness of this beautiful land and enjoyment of the surrounding valley and tropical forests.

On the way to the river, you will ride peacefully through primary and secondary forest drinking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains and lush tropical landscape.  Your guide has extensive knowledge of the vast array of flora and fauna you will encounter.  

As your horse takes you around the river, you will have an opportunity to observe the birds and other animals that make this forest their home. Blue Morpho butterflies can often be seen as well as many varieties of birds and other wildlife.

Your trip culminates in an incredible lagoon and waterfall. You can cool off in the clear water or just rest and enjoy the relaxing sounds of the waterfall cascading into the small lagoon.

You may spend as much time as you with in this idyllic spot before mounting your horses for the return trip to the pool and restaurant.

Here you can relax and enjoy the cool waters of the pool while your chef  lovingly prepares a home-cooked gourmet meal. This day will certainly be a highlight of your vacation in Costa Rica.
